Railcar Repair Certificiation
Obtaining a rail car repair degree or certification from a community college or vocational-technical school is desired by most major employers. These programs provide knowledge of the latest technologies. Some programs are geared toward railcar repair, but the majority of these programs provide a generalized education.
Train repair jobs are available not only through the railroads, but by individual repair shops that are certified by the American Association of Railroads.
